The 2024 edition of the World Public Relations Day (WPRD) Festival Summit comes off July 16 at the Ghana Shippers Authority in Accra, announced Global Media Alliance, lead organizer of World PR Day in Ghana. The event sets to climax the World PR Day 2024 Festival, following a series of activities from April to July.
This year’s festival put the spotlight on AI and Sustainability, two areas shaping the practice of public relations in today’s world.
In line with this year’s WPRD theme, ‘The Future of PR in a Changing World’, the Summit aims to discuss how PR practitioners can navigate the evolving landscape and continue to drive meaningful engagement and positive change through digital innovations, diversity, and a human-centric approach.
The Summit promises to be an insightful and transformative experience for professionals in the public relations industry. The event will bring together leading PR experts, thought leaders, practitioners and PR students to share their knowledge, experiences, and innovative strategies that are shaping the future of public relations.
The event will assemble distinguished speakers and industry experts giving keynote speeches and sharing nuggets through a specially curated panel session.
Ahead of the Summit, Emma Wenani, Chief Director of Global Media Alliance, expressed excitement about hosting the World PR Day Festival for the fourth consecutive year to impact the PR industry.
“We are thrilled as we get ready to host this year’s WPRD Festival; an event that will highlight the transformative power of public relations in today’s dynamic landscape. After successfully creating impactful narratives with our two masterclasses in PR, AI, and Sustainability, we are poised to provide a bigger platform for sharing insights on how to shape the future of PR in the ever-changing world,” said Emma Wenani.
“We look forward to engaging with thought leaders and practitioners from around the globe to explore the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead,” added Emma Wenani.
The 2024 WPRD Summit is sponsored by Telecel Ghana, Samsung Ghana, Ghana Shippers Authority, Twellium Industries, and Kasapreko. It is supported by eProductions, Perception Management International (PMI), YFM, Happy FM, Comms of Africa.
