Your favourite entertainment television channel, e.TV Ghana on Friday, thrilled scores of people who gathered at the forecourt of e.TV Ghana to experience the Television station’s ‘All-White- and a Touch of Red party’.
The party was to foster bonds among current and former staff, celebrities, advertisers, clients and other stakeholders as part of the year-long e.TV Ghana tenth (10th) anniversary celebrations.
The show had a screening of a throw-back video dubbed ‘the journey so far’ which detailed e.TV Ghana’s story through the years from its inception in August 2009.
The video showed how the station over the years has been a pacesetter in both international and local content programming with foreign programmes like the ‘World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), ‘Rhythm City’, Scandal and on the local scene, ‘Panorama’, ‘Awake’, ‘Breakfast TV’ among others.
Mr. Ernest Boateng, Group CEO of GMA in his opening remarks acknowledged the contributions of both internal and external stakeholders.
“I would also like to Express my profound gratitude to all our stakeholders for their continuous support. Congratulations to each and every one of us” Mr. Boateng stated.
Programmes Manager of e.TV Ghana Mrs. Nosisa Doe narrated the station’s story ahead.
‘’We are gathered here to celebrate a milestone in broadcasting excellence over the past decade. Clearly, we could not have made it this far without the dedication, contributions and hard work of our staff
Not forgetting the enormous support of our partners, advertisers and viewers. They have stuck with us through our highs and lows. I thank each and every one of you for being part of our journey’’ she said.
The party saw live band rendition of popular Ghanaian songs interspersed with DJ mixes.
And Live performances from Article Wan, Klara K, Wutah Kobby among a host of others.
The red and white themed cocktail set-up gave the party the electrified atmosphere it needed to keep patrons on their dancing feet from start to finish.
The All-white and a touch of red themed party hosted by Foster Romanus saw some prominent former staff of e.TV Ghana, Dzifa Afranie who was the first host of the ‘Late Nite Celebrity show, former General Manager, John Osei Tutu (JOT) Agyeman among others represented live. Celebrities like Pete Richie, Xandy Kamel , Keche ,Big J Cartel – Praye ,Tic, Nana Tornado and Kofi Mole were in attendance.
Other dignitaries who graced the occasion included Santokh Singh Ram Singh – Managing Director of the Multimedia Group, the Chief Operations Officer of Global Media Alliance Group (GMA) Mr. Edwin Amankwah, and the Chief Director of GMA Emma Wenani.
The event was sponsored by Artist Pizza and Kemlly’s Cake and the Safoa Band.
