Brief and Objective

Client had a negative image in the Ghanaian public and in the media resulting from the circumstances surrounding the sale of the mother company to Vodafone. GMA was tasked to help enhance Vodafone’s image in the media; turn Vodafone Ghana into a locally cherished brand loved by the Ghanaian public; position Vodafone as the telecommunications provider of choice and improve Vodafone’s relationship with the government and other key stakeholders.

Strategy and Tactics

GMA devised a strategy that centered on media & stakeholder relations management, CEO visibility & Corporate Social Responsibility as well as customer appreciation campaigns.

Measurable Outcomes

The Vodafone brand is now in second of position in terms of voice subscription market share as of July 2019 according to the NCA. The Vodafone brand is now a respected brand with Ghanaians embracing the brand as their own and was adjudged the Public Relations Oriented Company of the Year 2013 by the Institute of Public Relations Ghana, among several awards they have won.
