e.TV Ghana on Sunday September 15, 2019, premiered a new show, Time with Citizens that is to be broadcasted at 7pm every Sunday.
Time with Citizens is a 30minute social intervention show where the host seeks out ordinary individuals in various localities in Ghana and interviews them. These individuals who are mainly women talk about their lives and what they aspire to achieve.
These women receive a total makeover before they are interviewed as most of them are having their first TV appearance in front of the camera.
I’m thrilled to further explore the beauty, pain and triumph of these women, with hopes that their story will continue to resonate with audiences who see themselves in them,” said host of the show Adwoa Boatemaa Boateng (ABB). “It’s a real honor to create this work with e.TV Ghana as their support is rock-solid and wonderful.”
The show is geared towards raising awareness about the harsh realities some of these women live and survive in and to prompt policy makers to take a step in alleviating their burden.
“Adwoa Boatemaa Boateng’s vision for ‘Time with Citizens’ is one of inspired storytelling, and her execution of that vision has given us a remarkable series that makes us so proud,” said Nossisa Doe, Programmes Manager for e.TV Ghana. “We are grateful to ABB and her entire crew and look forward to a fruitful season.”
